Griffin Brothers is committed to providing customers with outstanding workmanship and products at a fair price. We are responsible and active members of the communities in which we serve, and we are dedicated to our valued employees and business partners.
As a full-service tire and automotive center, Griffin Brothers has been serving the Charlotte area since 1961. Larry Griffin Sr., who was no stranger to the tire and automotive industry, purchased Honest Tire in 1961 from an uncle who opened the facility in 1928. The flagship location, which was on West Trade Street in Charlotte, operated under the name Honest Tire Service until 1965 when Larry Sr. and his brother Ronnie incorporated the company as Griffin Brothers Tire Sales. Ronnie later branched off and Larry Griffin Jr. (Larry Sr.’s son) joined the company as Vice President in 1989. Griffin Brothers has long been regarded as a trendsetter in the industry and continues to lead the market as one of region’s best and most enduring tire dealers. This is made possible by our dedication to stay current with technology, hire the best possible staff, offer superb customer service and outstanding workmanship. In 2016, Griffin Brothers was acquired by Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers keeping in place the same great team providing the same great service to the Greater Charlotte area. We’re still dedicated to our employees, customers, and to the communities in which we operate.
Since its early days, Griffin Brothers has always been involved and supportive of numerous local causes and charities. As the company has grown, so has our commitment to supporting the communities in which we are located.
From sponsoring Little League and high school teams to supporting larger, local organizations with substantial more financial and hands-on support, Griffin Brothers and its employees continues to enjoy paying it forward. Here are just some of the ways we are staying connected, involved and support various causes in recent years:
